On Friday, the event featured a free exotic car show on the rooftop of Fallsview Casino Resort, which later transformed into a supercar parade. On Saturday, Niagara District Airport was transformed into the Hangar Experience, showcasing supercars, private aircraft, yachts, motorcycles, fashion, hospitality and culinary experiences.

Although it was a glamorous weekend filled with luxuries, the Niagara 5000 was significant to CEO Alana Hurov for its fundraising efforts toward MacKids at McMaster Children’s Hospital — a hospital Hurov said changed her daughter’s life.

Following the supercar parade, the preliminary fundraising total reached $30,000, with additional proceeds still being counted.

“This year’s supercar parade proved that an extraordinary automotive experience can also create a meaningful impact,” Hurov said about the MacKids initiative.

Alongside raising money for the children’s hospital, the Niagara 5000 looked to bring Niagara and Buffalo together by featuring Buffalo Bills stars and celebrity chef Darian Bryan.

Dion Dawkins and Ray Davis of the Buffalo Bills attended the event on Saturday.

Dawkins appeared with SHNOW Water, his own canned mineral water brand and the Niagara 5000’s title water sponsor.

Bryan made appearances throughout the weekend. Originally from Jamaica, he is now considered one of Western New York’s most recognizable culinary personalities. Earlier this year, Bryan made history as the first Black and Caribbean chef to win FOX’s “Next Level Chef.”

Hurov said “this is only the beginning,” as preparations are already underway for Niagara 5000’s return next year.

“The response from our guests, drivers, sponsors and community partners has been overwhelming. We are already looking at how we can make next year’s Niagara 5000 even bigger while continuing to put Niagara on the international luxury-tourism map and generate meaningful support for MacKids.”
